Without sounding like a teenager going through their emo phase, there’s so much more to this world than I’d ever imagined. I can hear my brain obsessively trying to process something in particular right now, all the time.
I think it’s trying to process what it takes to be liked.
Not what it means for me to be liked, but what makes a moment liked. The fundamental recipe for human liking? What makes some moments magical, at every level.
I love making things, as I imagine all who can—do, and I believe demand is about to shift from enabling technology to do things to enabling people to enjoy the experiences of their day. Eventually, anyone will vibe-code technology that does what they need, if we shift our ambitions to the moon, and to enriching human experiences, we have a huge set of agent roles we can use optimally and a new bottleneck: understanding which interactions people actually prefer.
Another way of putting this is: AI could soon give us whatever we want. So what the fuck do we actually want?
I’m thinking about this a lot, and I’m putting it online now, it can be refined and resolved BUT, cheekily, I wanted to be able to say I told you so when this happens :P
The only thing you really need to know here is, I absolutely love people, there’s magic in connections. So please, teach me, share your ideas, cultivate some new ones with me, ask for a favour! My email is in the footer :)
And for the sake of other potential conversations, feel free to obsess over:
- A real-world problem and how you or I could or should approach solving it. Emphasis on a real problem and an individual or plausible team solving it.
- The human experience.. Your human experience?
- Elite, unique and novel sensory and emotional experiences.
- Writing and articulating. Oh, and mastering shared silent moments.
